The Development Map is designed to support the leadership of pedagogy and practice at various levels

Through

  • Bringing together many important aspects of exemplary early years philosophy and practice e.g. Observation, Assessment and Planning, Formative and Summative assessment, supporting children with SEND, partnerships with parents & developing high quality practice through continual professional development
  • Using children's progress summaries, Child Reviews and Cohort Reviews to maintain an overview of development, learning and progress over time
  • Using the Quality Review to gather a range of information to identify areas and aspects of practice which require further improvement
  • Reflective practices, self-evaluation, and informed pedagogical dialogue between staff
  • Easy access to the data beneath the Development Maps to create spread sheets for further analysis
